Working with an Ovulation Microscope to Check saliva
- Read the instructions carefully, there are some steps which are necessary for getting the right results.
- Prepare the evening by washing your face. Because lotions or creams can intervene with the results.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with hot soap.
- Rinse your mouth 10 minutes with water before getting the saliva to test. Don’t brush or floss your teeth before taking the test. Don’t eat 1 hour before the test either.
- Spit into the tube. Once you get enough saliva, seal the tube. This process can be 10 to 30 minutes.
- Seal the sample and make sure it is sealed tightly. If elastic bags came with your kit, seal the bag, zipping it up all the way.
- Label the sample. Write your name at the sample, this is for the lab corporation to identify.
- Freeze the sample 4 hours before packaging and then send it. You can also freeze the sample overnight if you prefer.
- Mail the sample, fill any paperwork included with the sample.
- Make a best appointment of the month.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds.
- Label the blood spot card. It helps to tape it on the surface with the provided tape.
- Sterilize your finger with an alcohol wipe.
- Stab your finger with the lancet.
- Accumulate the sample.
- Let the blood dry for at least 30 minutes. You can let it dry overnight if you prefer.
- Seal up and mail the samples.

- Get a tiny microscope.
- Put the saliva on a slide. Be careful to get the saliva before doing anything else in the morning, such as drinking water or brushing your teeth.
- Let the saliva dry out. Before you show the saliva under the microscope, it needs drying for 5-10 minutes. Drying allows the saliva to compose a pattern to show under the microscope.
- Lay the slide under the microscope and adapt the concentrate if you want to. You may find a fern, dots and circles, or a hybrid of two. A fern tells that you have had an amplify at estrogen, which means you are at ovulation.
